How to follow my work:

Notes for organizers:

  • Introduction: “Gib was VP of Product at Netflix starting in 2005. In 2010, he became the CPO of Chegg, a textbook rental and homework help company that went public in 2014. Today, Gib is a teacher, speaker, writer, and adviser.”

  • I prefer a wearable microphone

Not relevant for in-person sessions — you can ignore:

  • In the beginning, please share this link with the audience in chat/messaging to enable Slido polling: https://app.sli.do/event/cRtbmrhTBKyWzj3m43hqCN

  • At the end of the talk, please share this link to gather feedback: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/NflxWHDoptum

  • At the very end (right after the feedback link above), share the link to this page: https://www.gibsonbiddle.com/wicked

  • Additional notes:

    • It’s super helpful if the host/organizer scans the chat/Slido for any questions/comments.

    • It’s fine to interrupt me with statements like, “Lisa has a question about…” I will sometimes handle the question in real-time or suggest we pick it up later. But the mega point is it’s fine to talk to me as it’s a casual environment. If there’s a problem/issue, bring it up immediately.

    • I sometimes ask you what you think about an issue to fill time while we wait for poll responses via Slido. Whatever you say, I will make you sound brilliant, so don’t worry.

    • Occasionally I will ask you to “cold call” someone in the audience. Typically I will ask folks to raise their hand if they want to be called on. Good if you choose someone who likes to talk and is a non-white male to build diversity “on stage.”

    • Need host/organizer/Zoom manager to handle details: occasionally muting folks, giving me permission to share my slides, etc. I assume we will be in meeting mode, not webinar mode, as I like to engage the entire audience with questions.

    • If I get dropped, which happens rarely: I will be back within a minute or two. Be patient. You can text me at 650 867 4338. My email is gbiddle616@gmail.com.

    • Schedule: I believe you’d like me to talk from 8:30-10:30 am PT as that is what is on my calendar. My plan is to get on the Teams link at 8:15 am PT to set up. I will likely talk for about one hour and forty-five minutes and leave fifteen minutes for questions at the end. The date is Tuesday, May 17, 2022.

  • Laugh at my jokes. (It should be fun.)
